Orders & Shipping
Where do you ship to?
We currently ship across Ireland, the UK, Europe, the US, Canada, Australia and selected international destinations. Shipping availability and rates are calculated at checkout based on your location.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Delivery timelines vary depending on where you’re based:
- Ireland: 1–3 working days
- UK: 3–7 working days
- Europe: 5–10 working days
- International: 7–14 working days
Please note delivery times may vary during launches, promotions or peak periods.
How much is shipping?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and order value. We occasionally offer complimentary shipping during selected promotional periods.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your emotionally supportive parcel every step of the way.
My tracking hasn’t updated – what should I do?
Tracking can occasionally take 24–48 hours to refresh once your order has been dispatched. If there’s still no movement after this timeframe, contact us at hi@anxiouspreoccupied.com and we’ll look into it for you.
Do I have to pay customs or duties?
For international orders outside the EU, customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations. These charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We move quickly once orders are placed, so we can’t guarantee changes or cancellations. If you need help urgently, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best.
What happens if my parcel is returned to sender?
If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, additional shipping charges may apply to resend the order.

What are your bags made from?
Our bags are crafted using premium vegan leather and carefully selected hardware designed to balance practicality, durability and style.
Are your bags suitable for everyday use?
Very much so. Our bags are designed for real life, commuting, travelling, overpacking emotionally and physically, and carrying far more than you originally intended.
How do I care for my bag?
We recommend wiping your bag gently with a soft damp cloth and storing it away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid overexposure to moisture, oils or rough surfaces.
Will my bag fit a laptop?
Many of our larger styles are designed to fit everyday essentials including laptops. Product dimensions are listed on each product page to help guide sizing.
Will sold out products come back?
Some styles are restocked, while others are limited runs. If a product is sold out, sign up to receive our newsletter and be first to know about restocks.
Do your metallic bags scratch?
Metallic finishes naturally show wear differently over time depending on usage. We design our bags to be worn and loved, not kept in emotional storage.
Are your products sustainably made?
We work with suppliers and manufacturing partners who align with our focus on thoughtful, lower impact production and responsible sourcing practices where possible.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your returns policy?
We accept returns on eligible full-price items within 30 days of delivery, provided items are unused, in original condition and returned with all packaging and tags attached. Click here to view our full returns process.
Do you offer exchanges?
We currently process exchanges as a return and repurchase to ensure the fastest turnaround.
Are return shipping costs covered?
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item received is faulty or incorrect.
How long do refunds take?
Once your return is received and approved, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 working days back to your original payment method.
Can I return sale items?
Final/Clearance Sale items and gift cards are final sale unless faulty. Promotional items can be returned.
What happens if my item arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue so we can help resolve it quickly. Email hi@anxiouspreoccupied.com.
Can I return an item without original packaging?
Original packaging is preferred to ensure products arrive back safely. Returns without packaging may not be eligible for full refund approval if the item arrives damaged.
What happens if a parcel is marked delivered but I haven’t received it?
Please contact Customer Care as soon as possible. Courier investigations and delivery claims are time-sensitive and most courier partners require non-delivery concerns to be raised within a limited timeframe following the recorded delivery date.
Tracking screenshots and proof of delivery may be requested during investigation.
What if the recipient is not available during delivery?
Couriers usually attempt delivery 2–3 times. If they cannot deliver, the parcel will be returned to us. A new shipping fee will be required if you’d like it sent again.
What if I don’t have the complete delivery address?
Please double-check the delivery details in your order confirmation email. We cannot be responsible for delays or lost parcels caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses. If a parcel cannot be retrieved due to an incorrect address, the delivery is considered fulfilled and no refund will be issued. To avoid delays, please provide a daytime delivery address and a valid local contact number.
I need to update something in my order. What should I do?
Please review your order confirmation. If you spot any incorrect details, contact us immediately at hi@anxiouspreoccupied.com so we can make the necessary changes.
Gift Cards
How do digital gift cards work?
Our digital gift cards are delivered instantly by email and contain a unique code that can be used at checkout.
Do gift cards expire?
No panic, our digital gift cards currently do not expire.
Can I send a gift card directly to someone else?
Absolutely. Enter the recipient’s email address at purchase or forward the digital gift card email once received.
Can gift cards be refunded?
Digital gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit and credit cards along with selected accelerated payment methods including Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna and Shopify Payments where available.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed securely through encrypted payment gateways. We do not store your card details.
Can I pay in instalments?
Installment payment options may be available depending on your location and the payment providers available at checkout.
Pre-Orders
What is a pre-order?
A pre-order allows you to secure an item before it officially ships or restocks.
When will my pre-order ship?
Estimated shipping windows are listed clearly on the product page at the time of purchase.
Will I receive other items in my order sooner?
If your order includes a pre-order item, your full order may ship together once all items are available unless otherwise stated.
If you’d like an in-stock item shipped sooner, we can arrange a split shipment. A second shipping fee will apply. Please contact our team to set it up.
Can pre-order timelines change?
Occasionally, production or shipping delays can impact timelines. If anything changes significantly, we’ll keep you updated by email.

Care & Maintenance
Is the material water proof?
Our material offers light water resistance. To preserve its finish and longevity, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with water or soaking.
Why does my bag look slightly misshapen when it arrives?
Your bag is packaged in a box for protection and may arrive slightly out of shape. Simply let it sit for a day or two and it will return to its original form.
How long can the bag stay under the sun?
We recommend avoiding prolonged direct sunlight or high heat, especially when the bag is not in use. Short periods are fine, but extended exposure can lead to damage.
What temperatures should be avoided?
Avoid exposing the bag to extreme heat or extreme cold. High temperatures can soften or warp materials, while very cold conditions may make them less flexible. Store and use your bag in moderate temperatures whenever possible.
